COERR had set up Volunteer Groups for social services since 2000. So far, there are 104 volunteer groups, mostly church-based, with 861 members. During September 2019, the Royal Irrigation Department announced the floods situation in 11 affected provinces, i.e. Yasothon, Roi Et, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Udon Thani, Amnat Charoen, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Si Sa Ket, Ayutthaya, and especially, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Many COERR Volunteer Groups joined the Social Commission, Bangkok Archdiocese, Ubon Ratchathani Diocese and network organizations, to visit the flood prone areas and provided relief.
On September 5, 2019, COERR Tharae, Sakon Nakhon Province’s Muang District, together with the National Catholic Commission for Migration (NCCM) visited the flooding areas in Ponnakaew District, Sakon Nakhon Province.
On September 11, 2019. COERR Volunteer Group in Ban Nong Tarm Noi prepared survival kits before distribution to affected village of Ban Pa Yang, Yaplong Subdistrict, Muang District, Sisaket Province.
Floods situation on September 13, 2019 at Ban Thap Thai Village, Jaramae Subdistrict, Muang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province in which COERR Volunteer Group Members were among the affected.
On September 15, 2019, COERR Volunteer Group in Catholic Church, Ban Nonsawang Village, Bok Subdistrict, Nonkhoon District, Sisaket Province distributed relief supplies to flood victims in Ubon Ratchathani Province.
On September 18, 2019, COERR Volunteer Group in Nong Tarm Noi, Si Sa Ket Province provided 150 survival kits, 300 lunch boxes and 40 packs of drinking water to the flood victims in 3 villages of Sawang Viravong District, Ubonratchathani Province.
On September 23, 2019, COERR Volunteer Groups in Nong Tarm Noi joined the Social Commission, Bangkok Archdiocese, Ubon Ratchathani Diocese and network organizations, to visit and provide relief supples to flood prone areas of Nong Ong Village, Nonsang Subdistrict, Kantrarom District, Si Sa Ket Province.
